We are

Denim Kids

a non-profit organization founded on the intention of providing for and uplifting our communities through positive means.

Our Mission

Denim McLean was just two years old when he tragically lost his life on April 4, 2013. Five days earlier, he and his mother, Wendy McLean, were together, along with a dozen pedestrians, when they were struck by a motorist that had jumped the sidewalk. Though his injuries were fatal, Denim's will-to-survive touched everyone who knew him.

After the loss of Denim, the name sake of the non-profit organization, Denim Kids which had existed for two years prior expanded its mission. Originally established to provide the underprivileged children and youth of New York City communities with clothing, food and school supplies, the agency has expanded to not only embrace and guide the future leaders of tomorrow but to also provide a supportive network for mothers and caregivers mourning over their children that unexpectedly lost their lives.
